So far this year, one in five callers to JobWatch have raised issues of underpayment. It is clear that many people are not aware of how to check their pay entitlements throughout their employment.

It’s critical that people review their payslips regularly to ensure that they are being paid correctly and on time.

In addition to the basic employer and employee information that should be on every payslip, there are five things that people should look for to ensure that they are not being underpaid – rate of pay, hours worked, superannuation, deductions, and additional payments.

With one in five callers to JobWatch this year raising issues of underpayment, it’s clear that many people are not aware of how to check their pay entitlements throughout their employment.
