Upcoming: Pop-Up Drop-in Legal Advice Clinic for Gig Workers

In collaboration with the Gig Workers’ Hub, JobWatch is running our second pop-up drop-in legal advice clinic for gig workers on Thursday 14 December 2023.

November 02, 2023

JobWatch will be running a free and confidential pop-up drop-in legal advice clinic for gig workers.

Location: Micro-Labs, 227-229 Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000
Date: Thursday 14 December 2023
Time: 2.30pm to 5pm

This pop-up legal advice clinic is run in conjunction with the Gig Workers’ Hub, a dedicated refuge with free food and information for delivery and rideshare workers.

“Delivery and rideshare platforms have reshaped life in the city, but until recently there have been no spaces designed to meet the needs of gig workers themselves. The Hub offers a space in which riders and drivers can come together, meet one another, and feel supported.

By providing free access to food and drinks, relevant information, phone chargers, and other amenities, the Hub is intended to gather support – and demonstrate a need – for a permanent gig worker space in Melbourne’s CBD.”

For more information, please contact us or find out more on the Gig Workers’ Hub website.
